CSS provided technical and programmatic support to NASA's agency-wide Occupational Health Program (OHP). Working with NASA Headquarters, we coordinated occupational health policy and procedures at all 14 NASA field Centers and Facilities. This work encompassed all NASA OHP components, including Occupational Medicine, Environmental Health (industrial hygiene, health physics, food sanitation, potable water, and pesticides), Employee Assistance, Health Promotion, and Fitness. We audited and analyzed agency-wide safety and health programs; conducted accident investigations and reporting; collected OHP metrics to record continuous improvements; developed the Agency's Occupational Health Quality Assurance Program; and supported individual Center evaluations biennially. Other recurring duties included maintenance and updating of the NASA OHP website; coordination and management of the Agency's Annual OHP Conference; development of an OHP Monthly Newsletter; and planning and organizing quarterly Health Education Video Teleconferencing System (ViTS) agendas. CSS accomplished several special projects for the OCHMO, including: development and implementation of a training program on Weapons of Mass Destruction Medical Countermeasures, design of an Agency Longitudinal Study, and development of the initial framework for NASA's Electronic Health Records System. We received numerous commendations from NASA Headquarters and several NASA Group Achievement Awards for this work.
